Swing Dance this Thursday (10/30) @ 7pm in Friend Center

Hi everyone – happy Halloween! This week, we’re in the Friend Center Convocation Room on Thursday (10/30) starting at 7pm! Here’s the full schedule:

7:00-8:00 — Beginner Lesson with Rob & Grittney
8:00-8:30 — Social Dance DJ’d by Rob
8:30-9:30 — Intermediate Lesson: Frankie’s Sixes with Chris & Casey
9:30-10:00 — Social Dance DJ’d by Chris

Costumes are encouraged this week if you’re feeling the Halloween spirit! For our intermediate lesson this week, Casey & Chris will be teaching Frankie’s Sixes, a series of tuck turn variations beloved by Frankie Manning (of Shim Sham fame). Hope to see you there!

For all you solo jazz dancers, Zoë has assigned this as homework from last week’s solo jazz lesson series: https://youtu.be/RNugryE0qvc

Also happening this week is an outdoor Halloween dance party hosted by the Princeton Art Museum from 5-10pm on Friday, Oct 31st. You’d be surprised how many of the Halloween classics you can swing to! (Monster Mash, anyone?) More info here: https://artmuseum.princeton.edu/24-hour-open-house

As always, please do not attend if you feel sick or have recently tested positive for COVID-19. Masks are optional but encouraged. This event is open to all Princeton University students regardless of identity.
