Swing Dance this Thursday (4/18) @ 7pm in NGC Common Room

Hi everyone! This week, we’re in the NGC Common Room on Thursday (4/18) starting at 7pm. Here’s the full schedule:

7:00-8:00 — Beginner lesson with Rob & Kirstin

8:00-8:30 — Open practice DJ’d by Rob

8:30-9:30 — Progressive Lindy Hop with Sam & Kirstin – week 4

9:30-10:00 — Open practice DJ’d by Sam

Two announcements:

First, Sam & I will be teaching swing dance for the tango club next Monday (April 22nd) at 7pm in the Friend Center Convocation Room! This is a great opportunity to learn more tango & swing dance with a great group of dancers. (Also, friendly reminder that tango club’s lessons are free for undergrads, $5 for grads, and $10 for community members!) For more information, go to https://www.princetontangoclub.com/event-calendar/

Second, several of our members (including me!) are planning to attend Phila-bal-phia on Saturday, May 18th. This is a Balboa workshop for all learning levels, so if you’re a fan of balboa (or just bal-curious!) this will be a great opportunity to learn a really fun dance style. For more information and registration links, go to https://www.philabalphia.com/. If you want to carpool with us, reach out to psdc@princeton.edu and we can coordinate rides together!

Looking forward to dancing with you – there’s so many new things to try, and I encourage you to try as many as you can! 🙂

As always, please do not attend if you feel sick or have recently tested positive for COVID-19. Please bring a mask and wear it for the duration of the evening. Thank you!
